"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14 Several thousand years ago Enoch, a man who loved and feared God, walked this earth.

Enoch's life was in stark contrast to the majority of the people at that time. His life was one of integrity, his character irreproachable, his reverence and fidelity to God unswerving. Enoch's love for God and for his fellow man were evidenced by his unselfish life.

"...Enoch ...had this testimony, that he pleased God."  Hebrews 11:5

In addition to being a faithful husband, father, friend, and citizen, Enoch was a preacher of righteousness who often went into the public places to warn the people of the sure results of disobedience to God.

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." Jude 1:14-15

During his life on earth Enoch was known for his integrity and service to God. Today Enoch is known for the remarkable fact that God translated him directly to heaven.
