As of Janury 24 the Haiti government has buried over 150,000 people in mass graves. It likewise at this point estimates that their could be another 150,000 still buried in the rubble. About 600,000 people are estimated to be homeless in the city.
The government is now officially urging its citizens security and shelter in the countryside. Already, over 200,000 have left the city.
