Many times we have heard from people who already have country homes in the mountains and somewhat remote places.

However they say that their property is not big enough or their home is too small and they need to move to get more room.

While some people have the income and employment that allows a move based on convenience or preference, many others do not. There is hope for those who are unable to move at this time who find that there living situation is somewhat cramped.

Idea #1. Get rid of Stuff - Most people in North America have too much stuff. Much more than they actually use in a given year. If you haven't worn it in a year, you probably don't need it, or atleast duplicates of it. Give it to someone who needs it.

Idea #2. Build a Cold Frame - Sometimes people want to build a large greenhouse but find their property isn't big enough. As an alternative build some cold frames, you can grow an amazing amount of food in them. (We plan to put pictures of a cold frame we built online here soon.)

Idea #3. Add a Murphy Bed - Some homes are too small and don't have any room for an office, or children's play area. Why not turn one of the bedrooms into and office or play area by installing a space saving Murphy bed? The same space can be then used as a bedroom and as an office or children's play room. Idea #4. Get a closet organizer - Many closets in homes are poorly designed from a space management perspective. Closet shelves and organizers can really provide extra space for a relatively small investment.
